Hongu River

The Hongu River is a major river and valley in the Sankhuwasawa District. It is a tributary of the Hinku River, which subsequently flows into the Dudh Koshi. The Hongu basin is a river valley which feeds a group of lakes. The Hongu region offers one of the finest wilderness treks in Nepal where even huts and herds are rarely seen.

Indravati River

 Indravati River in Nepal is a tributary of the Sun Koshi River. It is used to be called Melamchi too.

Kalapani River

 Kalapani River is an eastern headwater of the Sharda River, near the border between Nepal and India. It is fed by numerous small springs and underground waters. The river borders the Nepalese zone of Mahakali.


West Rapti River

The Seti Gandaki also known as the Seti River, is a river of western Nepal, a left tributary of the Trishuli River. It is one of the holiest rivers of Nepal, worshipped in Hinduism as a form of Vishnu. The river is also famous because it is close to some Holy places and is the central point of many stories of Hindu mythology. It rises from the base of the Annapurna massif, and flows south and south-east past Pokhara and Damauli to join the Trishuli River near Devghat.

Imja Khola

 Imja Khola is a tributary of the Dudh Koshi in Nepal. It drains the slopes of Mount Everest. The Khumbu Glacier melts into the Lobujya (Lobuche) River, which flows southward as the Imja Khola to its confluence with the Dudh Kosi at Tengboche. The Imja Khola collects water from the Imja Glacier through the Dingboche Valley.

Kankai River

Kankai River (Mai Khola)is a trans-boundary river flowing through Ilam and Jhapa in north to south direction of Nepal. Holy river of millions of Hindu Devotees living throughout Nepal.  Passes through the hills of Ilam and plains of Jhapa District. Kotihom river Bank is the centre for Death rituals of millions of Hindus living in Jhapa and Ilam.
Kanki Mai or Mai khola has the several points of tourism like Domukha, Dhanuskoti, Chuli, Chepti and Maipokhari. It is really beautiful to view the local fisherman fishing in the river and the children taking bath in heat of sun. Kotihom Surunga Municipality holds annual Mai Mela Fair where Millions of people from Jhapa, Morang, Ilam and various parts of India come to enjoy and perform the religious activity on the Day of Magh 1st.

Lakhandei River

The Lakhandei River is a river in southern Nepal and in the state of Bihar in India. It is a main tributary of the Bagmati River. In Nepal, the river basin lies in the Sarlahi District, and the river originates in the Sivalik Hills. The river enters India in the Sitamarhi district of Bihar, and flows through the town of Sitamarhi.

Mechi River
The Mechi River is a trans-boundary river flowing through Nepal and India. It is a tributary of the Mahananda River. It is in Mechi zone of Nepal.


Ratua Khola

The Ratua Khola is a river in eastern part of Nepal. It originates from Chure Pahad of Nepal and merges with the Kankai River in Bihar, Indeia. This river serves as the eastern border of Damak, a big and developed city in the eastern part of Nepal.

Sangkhuwa River

The Sangkhuwa is a river and valley in the Sankhuwasawa District. It is a tributary of the Arun.

Likhu Khola

The Likhu Khola is a left tributary of the Sun Koshi in the Himalayas in eastern Nepal. Likhu or Liku in the Sunuwar language (Li- top, Ku-water) means Top (Hill) Water. The river is the glacier Zurmoche on the southern slope of Likhu Chuli. It flows in direction south-southwest mainly through the mountains. It flows along the border between the administrative regions Ramechhap in the west and the east Okhaldhunga Sagarmatha.

Sun Kosi

Sun Koshi, is a trans-boundary river that originates in the Tibet and it is part of the Koshi or Saptkoshi River system in Nepal. Confluence with Arunand Tamur to form Saptkoshi at Trivenighat, Nepal.

Koshi River

The Koshi River drains the northern slopes of the Himalayas in Tibet and the southern slopes in Nepal. From a major confluence of tributaries north of the Chatra Gorge onwards, the Koshi River is also known as for its seven upper tributaries.
The Sunkoshi's tributaries from east to west are Dudh Koshi, Bhote Koshi, Tamakoshi River, Likhu Khola and Indravati. The Saptakoshi crosses into northern Bihar where it branches into distributaries before joining the Ganges near Kursela in Katihar district. The Koshi is 720 km (450 mi) long and drains an area of about 74,500 sq km (28,800 sq mi) in Tibet, Nepal and Bihar.

Tamakoshi River

The Tamakoshi River is part of the Koshi or Sapt Koshi river system in Nepalese Himalayas. It originates from Rongshar Chu und Lapchi Gang rivers close to the Nepal-Tibet border. It flows in southern direction through Province No. 3 in Nepal, namely through Dolakha District and Ramechhap District. Confluence with Sun Koshi.

Tamur River

The Tamur river  is a major river in eastern Nepal, which begins around Kanchenjunga. The Tamur and the Arun join the Sun Koshi at Tribenighat to form the giant Saptakoshi which flows through Mahabharat Range on to the genetic plain. Confluence with Arun and Sun Koshi to form Sapta Koshi at Tribeni, Nepal

Thuli Bheri  River

Thuli Bheri River, a tributary of the Karnali River, starts in the Chharka region of Dolpa District where it is known as the Bhargung Khola (river).

Tinau

The Tinau is a Class 2 category River originating from the Mahabharat Mountains and flowing through the Siwalik Hills and Terai Plain at Butwal, Nepal before entering the Indian territory to join the Ganges.

Trishuli River

The Trishuli River is one of the major tributaries of the Narayani River basin in central Nepal. It originates in Tibet as a stream and enters Nepal at Gyirong Town.

West Rapti drains Rapti Zone in Mid-Western Region, Nepal, then Awadh and Purvanchal regions of Uttar Pradesh state, India before joining the Ghaghara a major left bank tributary of the Ganges known as the Karnali inside Nepal.
